3rd Class World Book Day

3rd class dressed up for World Book Day.

We each  made a plan for homework to help us to decide what character we would like to dress up as.

Then  we brought in the book on World Book Day and we wrote about our character.

There were prizes for dressing up and also for our writing.

We had great fun on World Book Day.

World Book Day!

The children in 4th and 5th class all dressed-up for World Book Day on Friday. They dressed up as their favourite characters from books. We had a Little Red Riding Hood, Woody from Toy Story and Cinderella. It was a fun-filled day!

Native American Art!

4th and 5th class painted a Native American scene and painted their own individual teepees. They used bright colours. They decorated the teepees with buffalos and other designs. We have been learning all about the Native American culture.

Our Native American Projects!

4th and 5th class made construction projects based on Native America. The projects were built at home with some help from the parents. The projects include teepees, travois, totem poles and Indians. The girls put alot of work in. Well done Girls!!

3rd Class Mother's Day Gifts

3rd Class made some exciting gifts for Mother's Day.

First we painted some paper and we made them into gift bags.

Then we painted some glasses using special paints.

We had to allow three days for the glasses to dry properly.

Then we wrapped the glass in tissue paper and put them into the gift bag.

A lovely gift for Mother's Day!

3rd Class Planted Seeds

We planted turnip and radish seeds and kept them in seed trays in the classroom.  We will have to water them and keep them warm to allow them to germinate.  After Easter , we will plant them out in the garden.  In May, we will harvest them and take them home.

Maths for Fun!

4th and 5th class are currently involved in Maths for Fun on Thursday afternoons. Parents have been helping out in the classroom. The children are playing games such as Uno, Tangrams and Dice Games. It is so much fun!
